Download of the Day: RSS Screensaver

The RSS Screensaver displays the latest headlines and news articles from your favorite sites with a photo background while you're away from your computer.

Add any RSS feed (like Lifehacker's) and while your computer's not in use, RSS Screensaver displays a list of headlines on the left and the body of the selected article on the right. The functional problem with RSS Screensaver is that you can't go to an article, as moving the mouse turns off the 'saver, but it's still pretty neat. Free download, Windows only, the free .NET framework required to run.

Update: Note to self - RTFM. A reader says, "In todays news about the RSS Screensaver you state that you cannot go to the articles because moving the mouse stops the screensaver. I have installed the program and you can. From their page: When the screensaver is active; use the left/right arrow keys to navigate between feeds, use the up/down arrow keys to navigate between feed items, use the spacebar to open a browser window with the current feed item." Silly me. Thanks, Mike!
